Carlos Ruano is a diplomat, academic, and cultural observer who has lived in 10 countries, with roles spanning UN specialist, radio host, academic mentor, and diplomatic spouse. Shaped by surviving a major earthquake in Guatemala as a child, he writes and advocates on liminality, identity, and policy reform for diplomatic families. His current passion project links nutrition with education in high-need areas, bridging ministries to drive human-centred change.
